Bl. Cardinal Newman Once Again

We are not entirely happy that the important and actually joyful event of Cardinal John Henry Newman being beatified by the pope, was presented on our blog only from such a peculiar angle (you may read the post here ). Though we do not regret this and still think pointing this out was the right thing to do, we believe it is not fair to speak of this particularly interesting thinker and a brilliant Christian witness only in such a context, and therefore we’d like to recommend Joe Rawls’ article on Cardinal Newman, which you can read on his blog, the Byzantine Anglo-Catholic .
